His mother was Secretary of Agriculture; is father was an officer in the military under the Shah. Lives in Vienna, Virginia. Height 5'10". Shari's family was asked to leave Iran just prior to the Iranian Revolution in 1979. Shari first started in gymnastics, then went to wrestling, then finally bodybuilding.

  • Konovalov, Victor
    Born February 7, 1962 in Los Aneles, California. The first member of the IFBB Pro Bodybuilder wheelchair division. He is also the first wheelchair bodybuilder to received a endrosement from a supplement company, Weider. Victor was a high school football player. On September 5, 1983, Victor, age 19, was dirt bike racing when he spun out of control, flew 12 feet in the air, and crashed, compressing his spine. He woke up in a full body cast, with a rod in his back. He was married at the time, and his marriage collapsed under the stress of everything. It was tough times back then, but with his parent's help (Paul and Janet), he resolved to go forward in life.

    Victor started college to study for a finance degree, which eventually helped him get a job as a bank examiner. He met a friend who worked at a gym, and convinced Victor to come work out. Victor found out that he enjoyed it, and began developing muscles. In 1995, he entered his first bodybuilding show, the only wheelchair competitor there.
